Meet John Pirkopf

This month, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on someone whose journey is as inspiring as it is impactful—John, a dynamic force behind Bespoke Technology Group’s operations and infrastructure.
With over two decades of experience in Information Technology, John’s career has spanned continents and causes. From applied research and real estate to international education and development in East Africa, his work has always centered on using technology to uplift underserved communities. Early in his career, John combined his background in social work with tech skills to build IT capacity in under-resourced social service agencies across Denver, San Francisco, and Philadelphia. Whether developing custom data systems for large-scale evaluations or helping nonprofits navigate the digital age, John has always been driven by purpose.
At Bespoke , John wears many hats—focusing on operations, business development, and the “people parts” of technology. What he loves most? The freedom to explore different paths and contribute in ways that align with both his passions and the company’s mission. “Bespoke’s unique approach allows employees to chart their own course,” he says. “It’s empowering.”
As a child, John dreamed of working abroad—a dream he’s certainly fulfilled. Born to an Austrian father, he’s maintained a deep connection to rural Austria, which continues to shape his worldview. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him outdoors: skiing, hiking, fly fishing, camping, running, or capturing moments through photography.
John draws his greatest inspiration from his family, especially his wife, whom he calls “the glue holding everything together.” His favorite book is The Catcher in the Rye, and his go-to movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. He’s a sushi enthusiast, a fan of the series Severance, and if he could be any superhero? Superman, of course.
His favorite place to be? “Anywhere with mountains.”
Thank you, John, for bringing your heart, talent, and adventurous spirit to Bespoke. We’re lucky to have you!
